Email from Iraq

On a different board I just came across an email sent to the posting board member from his son in Iraq.

History tells us that letters in WWII were censored, and my own experience reminds me that letters from Vietnam were censored. I assume that was because they might fall into enemy hands and give away positions and all the other stuff military types think about.

So, I'm wondering why email is not censored. Anybody know?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">What makes you think it isn't. When I was onboard ship I knew that any item mailed to or from my ship was fair game. I expect that any electronic communication is thoroughly inspected by Ashcroft and his minions.

Matter of fact you can bet that anything posted here is likely to run through at least one governmental filter or another.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">While I think there is way too much government intrusion in our lives and postings on most boards are filtered and flagged if the post hits pre-defined triggers, I doubt that every e-mail is... wait, stop, I can't do this... I MUST GET BACK INTO CHARACTER... PINA you don't have a fucking clue... There much better.
